What "all-in" means
One flat rate covers postcard printing, USPS postage, and delivery to every mailbox in the neighborhoods you pick. The free USPS EDDM tool only covers that postage — the printing, the paperwork, picking routes by hand, and delivering trays to the right post offices are all still on you. This rate includes the same postage plus all of that work. Delivery dates book at least two weeks out.
Postcard mailing cost questions, answered
How much does it cost to mail a postcard?
For a one-off first-class postcard, USPS charges a postcard stamp (56¢ as of 2026). But mailing postcards to a whole neighborhood is far cheaper per piece through EDDM: our all-in rate covers printing, postage, and delivery from 86¢ down to 66¢ per piece — no per-piece stamp, no mailing list to buy.
What is the cheapest way to mail postcards?
For reaching a whole area, EDDM (Every Door Direct Mail) is the cheapest way to mail postcards at volume — you skip the mailing list and the individual first-class postage. The more mailboxes you cover, the lower the mailers cost per piece; our rate drops to 66¢ all-in at higher volumes.
How much do mailers cost to send to 1,000 homes?
About $1,000 all-in for a typical 1,000-mailbox neighborhood — printing, postage, and delivery included. That's the mailing-postcards cost with EDDM; slide the calculator above to your exact mailbox count for the number.
What is EDDM?
EDDM — Every Door Direct Mail — is a USPS program that delivers your postcard to every mailbox on chosen postal carrier routes, without needing a mailing list or individual addresses. You pick neighborhoods; the post office covers every door.
What are the EDDM size requirements?
To mail at EDDM Retail rates a piece has to be larger than a standard letter — more than 6⅛ inches tall or 11½ inches long, or thick enough to count as a flat. Our postcards are 6.5 × 9 inches, which clears the EDDM Retail minimum with room to spare.
What is the EDDM indicia?
The indicia is the printed postage mark that replaces a stamp on an EDDM mailer, along with the “ECRWSS / Local Postal Customer” line. You don't have to design or place it — the printer imprints the correct indicia and customer line on every piece as part of the flat rate.
